Art is far more than a series of technical skills. Our holistic curriculum nurtures creative thinking skills and helps ensure pupils learn through art, as well as about art.

Our Art Curriculum, and our Design & Technology Curriculum run in cycles, with Art taught in the first half of each half-term (Autumn 1, Spring 1 and Summer 1) and Design & Technology taught in the second half of each half-term (Autumn 2, Spring 2 and Summer 2).

Within each key stage, we have planned a balance between the development of skills in the main artform areas and with a variety of media. From Reception to Year 6, children will continually develop their understanding of drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and collage.
