Church School

St Wilfrid’s CE Primary School: A Church School

At St Wilfrid’s CE Primary School, we say the Lord’s Prayer, the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples, when they asked him how they should pray:

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory.

For ever and ever.

Amen

How effective is St Wilfrid's distinctive Christian Vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling all our pupils and adults to flourish?

As we are continually reflecting on what it means to be a Church school, considering how our theologically rooted Christian vision from The Parable of the Mustard Seed (Mark 4: 30-32) supports what we do. We ask ourselves the following questions:

  • Who are we?
  • Why are we here?
  • How then do we live?
