Ofsted Report

The government has a duty to check the quality of public education provided in all schools across the country. The mechanism for doing this lies with the government school inspectors called Ofsted.  We are extremey proud to say that St Wilfrid's is a GOOD school in all areas, as judged by Ofsted in March 2019. Please see the link at the bottom of this page to read the full report.

SIAMS Inspection

SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish.

Our most recent SIAMS inspection took place in January 2024. We were delighted that the inspection findings indicate that 'St Wilfrid’s Church of England Primary School is living up to its foundation as a Church school.'

The inspector summarised that our "Christian vision inspires leaders in their organisation and design of the curriculum. Much like the mustard seed parable that roots the vision, learning is centred around growth and development from small beginnings. There is a drive to ensure that all pupils are able to approach the curriculum effectively."

The inspector also captured how well our vision support behaviours for learning and personal development:  "The vision contributes to the calm and purposeful environment of the school. There is a powerful sense of belonging and community where relationships are excellent at all levels."
