Nursery Admissions
Applications for Nursery places are to be made through school. We have a 39 place Nursery. The admission criteria, as set out in the admissions policy, is applied when determining the offer of a place. All nursery places are offered on a part time (15 hours) or a full time basis (30 hours). Full time places are via, if eligible the 30 hour code or can be topped up with contributions from parents/carers. Before your child begins in Nursery you will be invited to visit. You can meet our staff, see our great space and see our wonderful Nursery in action.
Reception Admissions
St Wilfrid's CE Primary School is a one and half form entry primary school for children aged 4-11. Every September we welcome 45 children into our reception class. Pupils are admitted in the September of the academic year in which they turn five.
Admission arrangements to the Reception are separate to those for the Nursery. Attendance at the Nursery does not give a child any guarantee of priority when it comes to admission to the Reception class. Parents must make a separate application for a Reception place. All applications for Reception places in Manchester schools are to be submitted via the Local Authority. Admissions forms must be completed via Manchester City Council’s schools website, and should be submitted in the January before you wish your child to start at St Wilfrid’s.
In Year Applications
Parents and carers who would like to enrol their child at our school at another age group, may request a place through the local authority.
