Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Our Commitment to Fairness

At St Wilfrid’s, we believe that everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with kindness. This includes making sure that the things we use at school, like our uniforms, toys, and food, are made in a way that's fair to everyone.

What is Modern Slavery?

Sometimes, people are treated very badly and forced to work. This is called modern slavery, and it's wrong. It means people might have to work long hours for very little pay, or they might not be allowed to leave their job.

What We Are Doing

Learning and Talking: We teach our students about being kind and fair to others, and we talk about how everyone deserves to be treated well.
Checking Our Supplies: We try our best to make sure that the companies we buy things from treat their workers fairly. This means asking questions and looking for companies that care about people.
Being Aware: We want everyone at our school – teachers, students, and parents – to know about modern slavery. If we see something that doesn't seem right, we will tell a grown-up.
Following good examples: We look to organisations like UNICEF who help children all around the world, to help us understand how to do things the right way.
Our Promise

We promise to do our best to make sure that our school is a place where everyone is treated fairly. We want to help make the world a better place for everyone.

A note to parents and carers:

This page simplifies our commitment to the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We are dedicated to ensuring our supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking. We regularly review our policies and procedures to ensure we are upholding ethical standards. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
